this is a photograph of my resignation letter.
it's time i move on to things that are a far better fit for me and my interests. like... oh i don't know... photography?
no more 8 hours in front of a computer screen unless it's editing beautiful photos.
here is a list of things i'm looking forward to:
1. photo adventures solo and with Rob
2. camping mid-week with my boyfriend
3. sunshine!!!!!!
4. making things... clothes, photos, mobiles, jewelry.
5. collaborating with my bestie, Debra.
6. finding interesting (and free/cheap) ways to spend my time. (like terrible frisbee throwing with an equally terrible partner, or biking to the island, or reading aloud in the park, or bad movie nights at my place)
7. meeting new people
8. brushing up on my social skills
9. picnics in the park
10. building an empire.
i can't believe it took me this long, to be honest.
but.... no time like the present.
I'm full of excitement/nerves!
I loved having a quitting dance with you this morning.
i spoke to a lot of people about this before i made my decision. Most people were encouraging, but three in particular really gave me the courage to jump and realize that no matter what I'd land on my feet. I hope all of you are lucky enough to have at least one person in your life like this. I'm so blessed to have three, and I love them so fiercely. So thank you my dance partner, far away friend and my own personal model. I'll make you art to thank you. Now that i have the time, it may even be good and not soulless.
